Time Beyond Earth' investigates the concept of time across scientific, cultural and religious contexts, transforming intangible theories into accessible visuals. The project explores how different sources of "noise" affect one's perception of time, combining physics with Islamic spirituality to form a multifaceted understanding. Rather than approaching time as a linear construct, the work examines the historically rich origins of the seven-day week and time's fluid role in Islamic metaphysics, making complex theories tangible through communication design.
The concertina format reinforces the project's temporal themes, allowing readers to unfold information gradually while encouraging philosophical reflection on time's meaning beyond linear understanding. Using minimal line work and typography, the design maintains accessibility for audiences unfamiliar with advanced physics or Islamic perspectives. The supporting booklet further breaks down abstract ideas into digestible concepts, proving that theories can be communicated clearly without sacrificing intellectual depth. The work succeeds by bridging the gap between complex theories and immediate visual comprehension.
